There’s good news for MK2 users: HEDD Audio has released an update to the HEDD CTRL control software, version 2.0.1.
This update enables users to tap into the full potential of their HEDD MK2 studio monitors with greater precision and ease. It introduces significant enhancements for controlling DSP features, filters, and phase linearization directly from your workstation.

HEDD CTRL is free software that provides complete control and configuration of HEDD MK2 speakers and BASS subwoofers via an Ethernet-based network connection. It is designed to centrally manage the entire monitoring setup, whether it is stereo, a 2.1 system, or a complex multichannel configuration. Below is an overview of the main applications and features:
Centralized Remote Control: The software provides real-time access to all key speaker parameters, such as bass extension, desktop filter, equalizer (EQ), and volume (gain). Additionally, standby behavior can be automated and firmware updates can be easily performed.
Phase Correction (True Phase Alignment): HEDD CTRL can be used to activate the integrated HEDD Lineariser®. This enables precise phase correction and phase-linear playback, which is particularly important for ensuring time-aligned interaction between the satellite speakers and a HEDD BASS subwoofer.
Group and Multi-Channel Control: Up to 250 speakers can be managed simultaneously. Users can configure stereo, 2.1 (sub-sat), or multichannel setups (such as Dolby Atmos) and apply EQs and delays to entire speaker groups.
Presets and Standalone Use: Custom configurations can be saved as presets and quickly recalled. These settings can be uploaded directly to the speakers, allowing them to operate with optimized parameters in standalone mode (without a permanent connection to a computer).
All MK2 series monitors (TYPE 05, 07, 20, and 30), as well as BASS 08 and BASS 12 subwoofers, are supported.
